• Clemmons moves forward with budget approval; Council member Mike Combest's attempt to lower number by nearly $3M fails (clemmonscourier.com) — Clemmons leaders have approved the 2026-27 village budget and stormwater fee, rejecting a council member’s push to cut nearly $2.7 million in spending. The plan funds major Village Point amenities, removes a new dump truck and golf cart, and renews a three-year, $3.16 million policing contract with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office. 
• Greensboro man charged with leading Davie deputies on chase into Forsyth (ourdavie.com) — Law enforcement from Davie and Forsyth counties arrested a motorcyclist who fled an attempted traffic stop and ran into the woods near the Clemmons exit. Deputies say the rider was pursued from Mocksville along Highway 158, then captured with help from Forsyth K9 officers and now faces multiple traffic and resisting charges.
• Eastern Carolina Vocational Center named 2026 AMVETS NC Veteran Friendly Employer of Year (wcti12.com) — Clemmons recently hosted the AMVETS Department of North Carolina state convention, where Eastern Carolina Vocational Center was honored as the 2026 Veteran Friendly Employer of the Year. The award highlights ECVC’s long-running efforts to hire and support veterans, including multiple national recognitions for veteran-focused employment practices.
