• Jackson schools weighs needs and wants ahead of bond vote - (smokymountainnews.com) — Jackson County schools are eyeing a $105 million bond that would fund major upgrades at Cullowhee Valley School, Smoky Mountain High, Blue Ridge School, and a new bus garage, paid for by a 4.86% property tax increase. For Cullowhee families, that could mean safer windows, an ADA-compliant bathroom, and a repaired fence by the Cullowhee Rec Center, but only if voters approve the bond this November.
