• $215M approved for water, sewer upgrades across 26 counties after Helene damage (newschannel9.com) — Murphy is set to receive just over $5 million in federal Helene recovery funds to strengthen its wastewater system, part of a $215 million statewide package for water and sewer upgrades. The money, approved by the State Water Infrastructure Authority, aims to repair storm damage, boost resiliency against future floods, and support safer drinking water and wastewater systems across North Carolina communities.
