Festivities begin with fireworks on Wednesday, July 2 at 9:15 pm, with DJ tunes setting the mood beforehand. On Thursday, July 3, join in the fun at a lively square dance (admission $5 for adults). The celebration continues on Friday, July 4 with the beloved Sand Sculpture Contest and the Olde Tyme Parade, wrapping up the day with a community beach fire at 7 pm at Lifeguard Beach—a perfect way to celebrate the holiday, Ocracoke style.
