Train Smashes Septic Truck at Chesapeake Crossing, Sending Sewage Across Road (shorenewsnetwork.com) — A Norfolk Southern freight train slammed into a septic truck at a private crossing on Yadkin Road in Chesapeake, tearing the vehicle apart and spilling sewage across the roadway. Chesapeake Police say the truck failed to stop at a posted sign, and the driver, initially in life-threatening condition, is now stable as investigators review whether charges are warranted.
