Mother searching for answers after daughter's legs found at Ohio trash facility (newsnationnow.com) — A Columbus mother is still pleading for answers nearly a decade after her daughter Candice Taylor's legs were found at a Columbus trash facility, with the rest of her remains never recovered. Living in southeast Columbus before she vanished, Candice was impersonated on Facebook for months after her likely March 2017 killing, and police and Crime Stoppers are again urging anyone with information to come forward.

New Development Tackles Housing Needs for Students and Columbus Residents (multifamilyexecutive.com) — A new 166-unit Opportunity Pointe development on Columbus State's downtown campus will add deeply affordable and student-focused apartments for Columbus residents earning 30%–80% of area median income. Backed by city incentives and state tax credits, the project includes community amenities, on-site services, and ties into broader plans for a new ALDI and YMCA facility supporting students' housing, childcare, and food needs.
   

3. Harbor Bay Ventures Expands Mass Timber Student Housing Pipeline in Midwest (multifamilyexecutive.com) — A new 13-story mass timber student housing tower near Ohio State University in Columbus has just topped out, finishing its structure about 10 weeks ahead of schedule. Developers say the INTRO Columbus project will house students by next summer, using prefabricated timber panels that significantly cut construction time and reduce the building's carbon footprint compared with traditional concrete and steel.
   

4. Lawsuit challenges 'medically frail' exemption (thehill.com) — Columbus is joining Medicaid enrollees and advocacy groups in a lawsuit challenging how the federal government defines who is "medically frail" and exempt from new Medicaid work requirements. The suit argues the rule is too narrow, could cost vulnerable people coverage, and violates federal law, as work or volunteer mandates of at least 80 hours a month are set to begin in January.
