Lakewood updates FirstEnergy complaint, seeks interim plan during grid upgrades (cleveland19.com) — Lakewood officials are pressing state utility regulators to force FirstEnergy to create an interim plan that keeps residents' lights on while long-term grid upgrades are underway. After repeated multi-day outages affecting thousands, Mayor Meghan George is asking PUCO to reopen its investigation, consider fines and refunds, and require stronger infrastructure fixes so Lakewood homes and businesses aren't left vulnerable during extreme weather and equipment failures.

Arthur Treacher's Tries Something New – Sept. 1976 (blogspot.com) — Lakewood diners now have a new option for nostalgic fast food, with Arthur Treacher's Fish & Chips adding a local location as part of its small regional comeback. Victim identified in fatal Pepper Pike wrong-way crash (cleveland.com) — A Lakewood resident, 39-year-old Nekmurot Nurov, has been identified as the man killed in a wrong-way crash on I-271 in Pepper Pike early Tuesday. Police say a 20-year-old Lyndhurst woman driving the wrong way while intoxicated struck his rideshare vehicle head-on; she now faces multiple felony charges as investigators continue reviewing the case.
