Youngstown School Helps Students Who Learn Differently (businessjournaldaily.com) — Families in Youngstown who have children with learning differences now have more options, as ACLD School on East Wood Street has expanded to serve 75 students with small classes and intensive support. Staff describe how individualized instruction, therapy services, and strong community backing are helping local kids with dyslexia, autism, ADHD, and other challenges gain confidence and succeed.

SOBE solutions still unknown as colder weather approaches (wkbn.com) — Downtown Youngstown's steam supply is at risk as the SOBE steam plant faces serious financial trouble and could shut down as early as next month. Officials from Ohio and the federal government are exploring solutions, but no concrete plan or funding has been announced, leaving questions about how buildings will be heated and whether costly new generators or boilers will be needed.

5. Dale H. Hicks, Newton Falls, Ohio (wkbn.com) — A Newton Falls family is mourning 90-year-old Dale H. Hicks, a longtime educator and 1958 Youngstown University graduate who taught in Warren schools for more than three decades. Friends, former students, and neighbors can pay their respects at calling hours and services this Saturday at First Baptist Church in Newton Falls, followed by burial at Newton Township West Cemetery.
