Nationally recognized Asian Night Market returns to OKC this weekend (velocityokc.com) — Oklahoma City's Asian Night Market Festival takes over the Asian District this Friday and Saturday evening with more than 100 vendors, performances, and free activities. Recently ranked the nation's No. 2 night market by USA TODAY's 10Best, the event will fill Classen Boulevard with food, fashion, K-pop, lion dances, and interactive fun for all ages.
   

2. Oklahoma City honors retiring Fire Chief Richard Kelley after 35 years (news9.com) — Oklahoma City is saying goodbye to longtime Fire Chief Richard Kelley, who retires today after 35 years of service and nine years leading the department. Colleagues, family, and city leaders honored him this week, highlighting his role in major emergencies and department growth, while noting Deputy Chief Derrick Kiel will step in as the new chief on October 1.
   

3. Oklahoma City stabbing sends woman to hospital, another to jail after fight (koco.com) — Police say a fight Tuesday night near NW 16th Street and Meridian Avenue in Oklahoma City ended with one woman stabbed in the stomach and another arrested. The victim is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, while investigators work to understand the relationship between the women and what sparked the altercation.
   

4. Oklahoma City firefighters test AI helmet that helps them see through smoke (news9.com) — Oklahoma City firefighters are helping test a new AI-powered helmet system designed to let crews see and navigate through heavy smoke more safely. During a live burn demonstration at the Oklahoma State Capitol, city leaders and federal officials watched how the C-THRU technology can speed up search-and-rescue work while giving commanders real-time views from inside dangerous scenes.
   

5. Man injured in Midwest City drive-by shooting, police say (koco.com) — A man was shot in the leg during a drive-by attack Tuesday night on McDonald Drive near NE 16th Street in neighboring Midwest City, part of the Oklahoma City metro. Police say the victim and others at the scene are not cooperating, and investigators are asking anyone with information or who may have been affected to contact the Midwest City Police Department's non-emergency line.
