• Gateway-Gresham Elks deliver thank you baskets to first responders (theoutlookonline.com) — Gresham first responders just received appreciation baskets from the Gateway-Gresham Elks to mark the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, with deliveries to local fire stations and the police department. The entire lodge pitched in to fill the baskets with treats and small gifts, highlighting the community's gratitude for police and firefighters serving East Multnomah County. 
• Gresham youth martial artists win bronze at international competition (theoutlookonline.com) — Two young martial artists who train at Manos Jiu Jitsu on East Powell Boulevard in Gresham just brought home bronze medals from the Sport Jiu Jitsu International Federation World Championships in Tokyo. Representing Team USA, they competed against large brackets of international opponents and credit both their local training and the friendships they made worldwide for the unforgettable experience.
