• Gresham Police To Conduct Pedestrian Safety Operation (kxl.com) — Gresham police will run a focused pedestrian safety operation Tuesday evening, Sept. 22, along Southeast Powell Valley Road and Southeast Kane Drive, combining education with strict enforcement of crosswalk laws. Drivers should expect warning signs, potential citations under Oregon's pedestrian statutes, and extra patrols aimed at protecting people crossing or waiting to cross these busy streets.
   

• "TANSY" 37 lb lively young HUSKY "MCAS" (blogspot.com) — A young, high-energy husky mix named Tansy was found as a stray near SW Highland and 11th in Gresham and is now available for adoption through Multnomah County Animal Services. Described as playful, smart and affectionate once exercised, she's best suited for an active local household that enjoys outdoor adventures and has space for her to run.
   

• Reynolds football's Josiah Jenkins scores 3 TDs in blowout win (theoutlookonline.com) — Reynolds High's football team, which draws many Gresham-area students, rolled to a 42-13 win over David Douglas at Mt. Hood Community College, powered by quarterback Josiah Jenkins' three rushing touchdowns and 271 yards. Coaches praised the dominant second half but warned that early turnovers and penalties, if repeated, could cost the Raiders against stronger future opponents.
