Local Democrats, including a resident of Upper Macungie Township, challenged his petitions and party affiliation, while Tupone vows to appeal so Lehigh Valley voters still have another progressive option. 
• Capitol Roundup: Chobani's $1.2B investment in Lehigh Valley plant a vote of confidence in Pa. (timesleader.com) — A massive new Chobani plant in nearby Upper Macungie Township will bring 900 jobs and sharply boost demand for Pennsylvania milk, strengthening the Lehigh Valley economy that Macungie residents rely on. The roundup also covers Burlington's headquarters move to Philadelphia and sharply partisan clashes in Congress over socialism and rising household costs.
