If you follow local real estate or have an interest in sheriff sales, the notice details parcel numbers, legal description, and bidding requirements from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office in Norristown.
   

2. Accused Norristown killer seeks change of venue for trial (timesherald.com) — A Norristown man charged in a 2025 gang-related killing on Powell Street is asking a judge to move his upcoming murder trial out of Montgomery County, arguing local media coverage makes a fair jury impossible. Prosecutors say three alleged members of the "1200's" gang ambushed a 19-year-old aligned with rival group "The Ave," firing 45 shots. The judge will hold a pretrial hearing on the venue request.
   

3. Abington Bounces Back With A 13-0 Win Against Norristown (pafootballnews.com) — Norristown High School's football team was shut out 13–0 in a heated rivalry game at Abington, where strong defensive adjustments kept Norristown out of the end zone. Local fans can look ahead as Abington prepares for Council Rock North while Norristown regroups after the loss.
   

4. MCCC honors the next generation of healthcare leaders in nursing (timesherald.com) — Several Norristown residents are among 29 new nursing graduates honored at Montgomery County Community College's pinning ceremony, marking their entry into a high-demand healthcare field. The Dr. Stuart H. and Sandra K. Fine Nursing Program celebrated students' hard work, emphasized compassion and professionalism, and highlighted strong job prospects. Local grads are now poised to serve patients across Montgomery County and beyond.
