• New Segment Of Schuylkill River Trail Complete Near Route 422 (patch.com) — Residents who bike, run, or walk in the Pottstown area now have easier access to the Schuylkill River Trail thanks to a newly completed connector between Route 422 and Industrial Highway in Lower Pottsgrove. The project improves trail continuity for Pottstown and Lower Pottsgrove users, with officials planning a formal ribbon cutting on September 29 to celebrate the upgrade.
   

• Tower Health Reports $8.5 Million Profit, First Since 2017 (montco.today) — Tower Health's first operating profit since 2017 comes with steep local consequences, as 160 positions are being cut at Pottstown Hospital after earlier layoffs and service closures. While admissions have dropped and some units have closed, the hospital plans to expand its emergency department and more than double behavioral health beds, with some new hiring tied to those renovations and a new clinical affiliation with Jefferson Health.
   

• Police Seek Man's Identity After Pottstown-Area Incident (mychesco.com) — Police just outside Pottstown are asking for your help identifying a man connected to an incident reported Tuesday near Harmonyville and Laurelwood roads. Authorities released photos but have not described what happened, and stress that the individual is presumed innocent. Anyone who recognizes him is urged to email Detective Machese with information.
