• Barrington battles against 'mysterious' Moses Brown, loses 2-0 (eastbayri.com) — Barrington High School's field hockey team fell 2-0 to powerhouse Moses Brown, but coaches and players came away encouraged by their strong defensive stand on their home turf at Victory Field. The match also highlighted how the new synthetic surface is speeding up play and benefiting a promising freshman class that will never know the old grass field.
   

• Luigi Carusi Jr. (thericatholic.com) — Longtime Barrington resident Luigi Carusi Jr., a U.S. Air Force veteran and former Barrington police officer, has died at 86 after more than eight decades in town. He was deeply involved in Holy Angels Church, the Barrington American Legion, local scouting, and community organizations, leaving a legacy of service that many neighbors will remember warmly.
