📰 News we're reading
• Still no definitive end to SK water ban (ricentral.com) — Narragansett residents on Veolia water are still facing a strict outdoor water ban with no clear end date, despite receiving a "thank-you" postcard from the company. The restriction, tied to low aquifer levels, has frustrated many locals who question the lack of benchmarks, enforcement, and investment in long-term water system upgrades affecting their homes and yards.

• Side of the Rhode: Who's Hot and Who's Not - September 11, 2026 (golocalprov.com) — A Narragansett family is celebrating after their 14-year-old deaf dog Cub was found nearly five days after bolting into woods near the South Kingstown Recreation Center. Local animal control, volunteers, and especially Narragansett resident Robin Leclerc helped track him down, ultimately reuniting the tired but recovering pup with his relieved owners.
