• Championship Series to include RBC Heritage (blufftonsun.com) — Hilton Head Island's signature RBC Heritage golf tournament will join the PGA Tour's elite Championship Series starting in 2028, elevating the event's national profile and likely boosting local tourism. The long-running Harbour Town classic, which has already funneled millions into community causes, will return April 12–18, 2027, with tickets for the 59th edition going on sale in October.
   

• Tarrance returns to duties as Robert Smalls principal (yourislandnews.com) — Hilton Head Island residents can expect a potentially emotional Beaufort County school board meeting at Hilton Head Island Middle School tonight, where supporters had planned to rally for Robert Smalls principal Bradley Tarrance. Tarrance has already been reinstated after a review of his appearance in a political campaign video, but petitions and organized displays of support highlight ongoing community interest in his leadership and the district's ethics rules.
   

• Drivers react to traffic lights coming to U.S. 278 in Hardeeville by end of month (wtoc.com) — New traffic lights and turn lanes are coming to the busy US 278–Argent Boulevard intersection by the end of the month, affecting many Hilton Head Island residents who commute that route to work and school. Local students and Hardeeville officials are split on whether another light will ease speeding and crashes or just add more stops along an already congested corridor.
