• Hilton Head bat tests positive for rabies; one person exposed (live5news.com) — A bat found near Headlands Drive and Oyster Rake Lane on Hilton Head Island has tested positive for rabies, and at least one person has been exposed. State health officials urge anyone whose pets or family may have contacted this bat or other suspicious wildlife to call DPH for guidance and avoid handling bats with bare hands.
