  • A muskrat on the 12 Mile Creek in Lexington, about 100 yards downstream from the Old Mill. We have seen beaver here too, in years past.

  • It's the annual return of Painted Buntings here along the 12 Mile Creek! They first began showing up in 2019 and have been returning every year in April. They typically raise 2 broods per summer.

  • The Old Mill Pond, Lexington. As beautiful as they are, the goose population here is already getting out of hand. I've seen hawks hunting them, coyotes & bobcats will too. Please don't feed them.
