• SCHP: Driver dies after running stop sign, crashing in Pickens County (foxcarolina.com) — A driver died after running a stop sign at US-178 and North Freeman Road in Pickens County early Saturday morning, according to state troopers. The Jeep driver was taken to a hospital where they passed away, while the Ford pickup’s driver and passenger were not hurt as the investigation continues.
   

• Police: Long-term Pickens drug investigation leads to 6 arrests, 40 charges filed (foxcarolina.com) — A long-running narcotics investigation by the Pickens Police Department has led to six arrests, 40 drug and weapons charges, and the seizure of large quantities of cocaine, fentanyl, heroin, cash, and guns. Working with Easley, Travelers Rest, Greenville County deputies and a regional drug unit, officers executed raids through June 4 that targeted alleged trafficking tied to Pickens neighborhoods and nearby communities.
   

• Man sentenced in Pickens County to 30 years for trafficking meth (foxcarolina.com) — A Pickens County jury has convicted a 41-year-old man of meth trafficking after deputies found drugs and a scale during a 2023 traffic stop, and a judge has sentenced him to 30 years in state prison. Local residents may notice this as part of ongoing efforts by the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office and 13th Circuit Solicitor to pursue serious penalties for hard-drug crimes.
