• DNR Game Wardens Will Be on the Lake Checking Licenses, Life Jackets and BUI (921wlhr.com) — If you’re heading to Lake Hartwell from Lavonia this July 4th weekend, DNR game wardens will be out checking life jackets, licenses, and for boating under the influence. A free life jacket lending station is available at the Tugaloo Mega Ramp in Tugaloo State Park in Lavonia, and officials urge boaters to plan ahead, watch lake levels, and swim only in safe areas.
