• Saluda baseball team trying to make a run at Region 2-AA title (hssr.com) — Saluda High’s baseball and softball teams are both chasing Region 2-AA titles, giving local fans plenty to watch as the seasons head into the stretch run. Baseball coach Travis Mills credits a strong senior core and standout underclassmen arms, while the softball squad, last year’s upper state champion, is again near the top of the region behind several key hitters and pitchers.
   

• Aiken County investigators charge two teens with murder in April 2 shooting (theaugustapress.com) — Law enforcement say a 17-year-old from Saluda and a 16-year-old have been charged in an April 2 fatal shooting during an alleged planned armed robbery in Aiken County. The Saluda County Sheriff’s Office assisted Aiken County investigators, and the case remains active as authorities ask anyone with information to contact them.
