• Tri-Cities Airport runway reopens after shutdown due to sinkhole (wkrn.com) — Air travelers in Blountville can once again use Tri-Cities Airport’s main runway after a sinkhole forced its closure and caused flight cancellations from Tuesday night through early Thursday. Crews filled the underground void with concrete, completed safety checks, and reopened Runway 5/23, though passengers are still urged to confirm any remaining schedule changes with their airlines.
