• Renovations underway at Kingsport and Sullivan County schools (wjhl.com) — Families in Bluff City should know that Bluff City Elementary is getting a new secure main entrance designed to keep visitors in a controlled waiting area and streamline student check-outs before school resumes in August. The project, costing under $100,000 from Sullivan County Schools’ fund balance, responds to past traffic and safety concerns at the front canopy. Kingsport’s Dobyns-Bennett High School is also undergoing major interior renovations this summer.
