• Unicoi Co. removes massive boulder causing public safety hazard from residential roadway (wjhl.com) — A dangerous boulder hanging over Unaka Springs Road in Erwin has finally been broken apart and removed after forcing road closures and even mail delivery interruptions. County crews acted without waiting for outside agencies, with officials saying the work was urgent to protect residents and restore safe access for people who rely on that roadway.
