Proposed changes include creating an economic development coordinator, adjusting employee insurance cost-sharing, and raising pavilion, field, and permit fees that residents and local businesses regularly pay. 
• Rocky Top takes home chess wins (farragutpress.com) — Farragut chess players just brought home big wins from the 2026 Harry D. Sabine State Team Chess Tournament at Tennessee Tech, with Farragut High and Middle schools each taking first place and Farragut Intermediate earning second. Most Rocky Top Chess Club members are from Farragut, and their coach hopes these young players, some as young as kindergarten, keep growing in the game.
