• Meet the new Knox County Schools principals for 2026-27 (knoxnews.com) — Farragut families will see big changes as a new Farragut elementary school opens in 2027 with veteran educator Keith Cottrell as principal, easing overcrowding at existing Farragut schools. Knox County Schools also shuffled leadership at several nearby campuses, naming 11 new principals whose experience ranges from special education to magnet and neighborhood schools, all aimed at boosting student achievement across the district. 
• Hunley comes home (farragutpress.com) — Farragut basketball fans will see a familiar face on the sidelines as former Admirals guard Riley Hunley returns to his alma mater as an assistant boys coach. Living nearby with children in Farragut schools, Hunley says he’s eager to carry on the program’s tradition alongside head coach J.P. Burris.
