• Two Women Charged After Deadly East Hill Avenue Shooting in Knoxville (wivk.com) — Knoxville police have charged two local women after a Saturday morning shooting on East Hill Avenue that killed one woman and injured two others. One suspect faces a reckless homicide charge, while the other is accused of attempted first-degree murder. The surviving victims were treated at UT Medical Center and released as the investigation continues.
   

• Lady Toppers Finish Tied for 11th Place in Loaded Mason Rudolph Intercollegiate Field - Western Kentucky University Athletics (wkusports.com) — Western Kentucky's women's golf team finished tied for 11th at the Mason Rudolph Intercollegiate and is now preparing to compete in the Mercedes Benz Intercollegiate in Knoxville from October 4–6. That upcoming tournament will bring multiple college programs to Knoxville, offering local golf fans a chance to see high-level women's collegiate play at close range.
