• Soddy-Daisy pastor to be nominated for Tennessee Baptist regional leadership position (timesfreepress.com) — A Madisonville pastor, Shane Johnston of Notchey Creek Baptist Church, is noted as the first person to hold the new East Tennessee regional vice president role for the Tennessee Baptist Convention, created in 2025. Now, Soddy-Daisy pastor Brandon Johns is set to be nominated to follow in that position, which represents churches from the Chattanooga area up through Johnson City.
