Modern Aviation Expansion Headed for Meacham International Airport
The groundbreaking will take place on June 3.
Modern Aviation is about to break ground on a major expansion at Fort Worth Meacham International Airport.
The City of Fort Worth published a blog post with the details on Monday. According to the post, the fixed-base operator will start the development process on June 3.
The development will feature a 78,400-square-foot state-of-the-art hanger, 186,500 square feet of additional ramp space, and 8,750 square feet of office space.

"The new facility is designed to meet the increasing aviation demand in Fort Worth and accommodate some of today's largest business jets serving both based and transient aircraft," the blog post states.
According to the blog, the facility will be equipped with a 28-foot hangar door that will allow it to accommodate the largest modern-day jets.

Not only that, but the development will also feature a modern, high-efficiency design focused on safety, reliability, and operational excellence. It will also create jobs during the construction phase and ongoing operations while supporting local contractors, suppliers, and service providers throughout the development.
This investment is expected to expand aviation infrastructure, improve airport efficiency, attract new businesses and aircraft to Fort Worth, and generate additional tax revenue and economic growth for the community.
"The project positions Fort Worth Meacham International Airport for continued growth in business aviation and lays the foundation for future expansion opportunities," the blog post states. "Officials say the investment will help strengthen North Texas' reputation as a premier destination for aviation services for years to come."
