They're eyeing state support, partnerships with Houston and Harris County, and future bond-backed revenue, with public meetings set monthly in Humble at Partnership Lake Houston's conference room.
   

2. Houston Police Department investigating officer usages of Flock camera system for potential policy violations (click2houston.com) — Houston police are auditing how officers use Flock license-plate cameras and have already frozen some accounts while Internal Affairs checks for policy violations. The mother, hit five times, drove them to safety and is now publicly sharing her story of survival and forgiveness as the suspect faces aggravated assault charges and a court hearing.
   

5. Meta to pay Texas over $1 billion, overhaul teen features in child safety settlement (fox26houston.com) — Houston parents are being urged by Crime Stoppers of Houston to stay deeply involved in their kids' online lives as Texas secures a $1 billion child-safety settlement with Meta. The deal will fund youth mental health and school safety statewide and force new teen safeguards on Facebook and Instagram, but local advocates stress predators and harmful content still require vigilant, ongoing supervision at home.
