Living on disability income, her family says they don't understand the ruling and are now seeking legal help and community support to cover ongoing costs and care in San Antonio.

NIOSA will return in 2027, but the event's future location, format remain uncertain (ksat.com) — San Antonio's beloved NIOSA will return in 2027, but organizers warn the Fiesta staple may move from La Villita or change its format after recent years produced no net proceeds. The San Antonio Conservation Society is weighing new locations, dates, food and entertainment options while gathering public feedback to keep funding local preservation programs and school tours.
   

4. San Antonio drag company reacts after judge rules performance law unconstitutional again (ksat.com) — A San Antonio drag company and local performers just won another round in federal court, as a judge again ruled Texas' SB 12 performance restrictions unconstitutional and blocked enforcement. Owners of 360 Queen Entertainment say the decision lets them keep staging shows in San Antonio while they brace for a likely state appeal and continue educating venues and performers about their rights.
   

5. Robots will soon roam a San Antonio suburb's sidewalks. Here's why (mysanantonio.com) — Universal City, just north of San Antonio, will soon send small Dax robots along 12 miles of sidewalks to check for cracks, slopes and other hazards that can hinder people with disabilities. Starting in early September, the bots will quietly map pedestrian trouble spots so engineers can plan future fixes, while city officials stress that privacy protections and human oversight are built in.
