Former council members and a UTSA political scientist say the communications resemble a "walking quorum," though the district attorney has declined to pursue charges based on the current complaint.
   

2. San Antonio youth golfers can play Topgolf for $5 through Sept. 3. Here's how. (star-telegram.com) — San Antonio kids ages 6 to 18 can book $5 weekday-morning hitting bays at Topgolf San Antonio through Sept. 3 with a free Youth on Course membership. The program, backed by Bank of America's Golf with Us initiative, also unlocks $5 rounds at local courses like Brackenridge Park, Cedar Creek, and Fort Sam Houston.

WONHO Talks San Antonio Debut and K-Pop World Festival 2026 (kpopstarz.com) — K-pop star WONHO is set to make his San Antonio debut as a co-headliner of the 2026 K-Pop World Festival at the Alamodome on October 30. He told the San Antonio Express-News he's eager to meet local fans, sample Texas barbecue, and showcase his solo work, including his latest EP "CORE."
   

4. St. Mary's University volunteers kick off school year with 2K hours of service across San Antonio (ksat.com) — Hundreds of St. Mary's University volunteers fanned out across San Antonio this weekend, logging 2,000 hours of service with local nonprofits from Towne Twin Village to neighborhood food and resource centers. The long-running "Continuing the Heritage" day also launches a campus-wide push toward 10,000 community service hours benefiting organizations citywide this academic year.
   

5. Jordan Clarkson brings JC Cares charity golf tournament back to San Antonio after winning NBA title (ksat.com) — NBA champion and Wagner High alum Jordan Clarkson is back in San Antonio hosting his second JC Cares Charity Golf Invitational, raising money for local scholarships, youth programs and families. Joined by former and current Spurs, Clarkson says he's focused on growing his foundation's impact on San Antonio's young people and communities, even after his title run over the Spurs.
