This pothole has been destroying his San Antonio commute for 5 years (ksat.com) — If you drive South Zarzamora on the South Side, you're not alone in dodging the same dangerous potholes a commuter says have plagued his San Antonio route for five years. After KSAT flagged the problem, city Public Works quickly dispatched a repair crew and revealed they battle about 75,000 potholes a year, fueled by roughly 500 monthly resident reports.

5. 9-year-old San Antonio student released from Dilley trailer prison (sacurrent.com) — A 9-year-old San Antonio student and her father have been released from the Dilley immigrant detention center after more than a month in custody, following pressure from U.S. Rep. Joaquin Castro of San Antonio. Castro, who calls the facility a "trailer prison," is also demanding release of a San Antonio mother whose son is a U.S. Naval Academy midshipman and criticizing federal immigration enforcement practices affecting local military families.
