• Houston Accepts $50 Million to Never Annex The Woodlands (texasscorecard.com) — Residents of The Woodlands can now count on never being annexed by Houston after a new agreement trades $50 million in payments for a permanent annexation ban. The Woodlands Township will use cash reserves and existing funds to pay Houston, while Houston leaders debate whether the deal wisely trades long-term revenue for short-term budget relief. 
• The Gatlin Brothers Announce Farewell Celebration Tour (nashville.com) — Legendary country group The Gatlin Brothers are launching a multi-year Farewell Celebration Tour that will include a stop in The Woodlands, giving local fans a final chance to see them live. Alongside their classic hits, the shows will feature personal stories and rare videos as the trio gradually winds down touring through about 2028.
