ARLINGTON, VA — A 61-year-old Burke woman died after her vehicle left the roadway and struck a parked vehicle Tuesday morning, according to Arlington County police.

Arlington County Police said officers responded shortly after 11 a.m. to the 3800 block of Lorcom Lane for a reported crash with injuries.

According to the preliminary investigation, the driver, who was the vehicle's sole occupant, was traveling eastbound on Lorcom Lane when the vehicle left the roadway and struck an unoccupied parked vehicle in a residential driveway.

The driver was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, where she was later pronounced dead.

Police identified the driver as Mauricia Flores De Andrade, 61, of Burke.

Investigators believe the driver suffered an apparent medical emergency before the crash. The cause and circumstances of the collision remain under investigation.
