• Retirement of Chief Read (bridgewater.blog) — Bridgewater’s Police Chief Phillip Read will retire from law enforcement on July 24, 2026, after helping strengthen community policing and officer training since 2021. The town will conduct a search, led by former Chief Joe Simmons and the Town Manager, to find a new chief while sergeants oversee the department, aiming to keep Bridgewater safe during the transition.
   

• Clover Hill Bucks defeat Bridgewater Reds 15-11 (whsv.com) — Bridgewater baseball fans saw the Reds fall 15-11 to the Clover Hill Bucks after an early lead slipped away at Ray Heatwole Field. Despite the loss, several Reds had multi-hit nights, and the team quickly turns around for a Sunday doubleheader against Broadway, giving locals another chance to cheer them on.
