• Lawsuit alleges father suffered as Virginia nursing home owners 'siphoned' money, understaffed facility (wtvr.com) — A Colonial Heights family is suing the local Rehabilitation and Nursing Center and related ownership companies for $20 million, alleging understaffing and a corporate “shell game” that harmed their father’s care and led to his death. The suit claims money was siphoned off through high rent payments while staffing lagged, and similar lawsuits have been filed against other Virginia facilities owned by the same network.
