• Carjacker Who Killed Man Fighting For His Lexus Convicted In Virginia: Commonwealth Attorney (dailyvoice.com) — A jury has convicted a man for fatally running over Jose Vasquez Galvan in the parking lot of the Oasis at Montclair apartments on Stedham Circle in Dumfries after attempting to steal his Lexus. Prosecutors detailed how the victim tried to stop the theft, was dragged and run over, and said the conviction will let them seek a lengthy sentence next year.
   

• Prince William supervisors defer decision on Dominion Energy's Vint Hill substation (insidenova.com) — Prince William supervisors have delayed a decision on Dominion Energy’s Vint Hill gas-insulated substation, a project opponents link to expanding data center infrastructure that also threatens Dumfries’ Four Seasons at Historic Virginia community. Residents and advocacy groups packed the meeting and protests, warning about environmental impacts and urging stronger resistance to what they call out-of-control data center growth across the county.
