• Women's flag football could get its own NCAA Tournament by 2028 (usatoday.com) — Ferrum College’s women’s flag football team just reached a big milestone, playing in and losing the first-ever Conference Carolinas championship game to Wingate, 32–14. That local achievement comes as the NCAA fast-tracks women’s flag football toward full championship status, potentially bringing an official national tournament — and more visibility for Ferrum athletes — as soon as spring 2028.
