Fredericksburg Man Charged After Deputies Say He Ran From Arrest On Warrenton Road

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — A 19-year-old Fredericksburg man is facing new charges after the Stafford County Sheriff's Office said he ran from a deputy who was attempting to arrest him on an outstanding warrant Saturday afternoon.

According to the Sheriff's Office, a deputy spotted Nathaniel Levi Hill in the Warrenton Road area around 3:40 p.m. on Saturday. When the deputy attempted to make contact, Hill allegedly fled on foot into nearby woods.

Suspect Found In Nearby Woods

Deputies searched the area and located Hill in the woods a short time later, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Hill, 19, of Fredericksburg, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor fleeing from law enforcement and contempt of court. Deputies also served him on an outstanding warrant, the Sheriff's Office said.

Hill was held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.

Court records show Hill was charged with fleeing from law enforcement in Stafford General District Court following his Aug. 1 arrest. An arraignment on that charge was continued to Aug. 3, and an adjudicatory hearing is scheduled for Sept. 10.

The outstanding matter appears to stem from a Stafford County Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court capias for failure to appear that was filed July 24. Court records show bond and adjudicatory hearings are scheduled in that case later this month and in November.

As with all criminal cases, the charges against Hill are allegations, and he is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
