Ross Eyes Former Buy Buy Baby Storefront In Springfield: Report

Plans show Ross Dress for Less could fill the 28,000-square-foot former Buy Buy Baby storefront at Springfield Plaza.

SPRINGFIELD, VA — Ross Dress for Less is expected to replace Buy Buy Baby at Springfield Plaza, filling the shopping center’s largest vacant storefront, the Washington Business Journal reported.

Construction plans identify Ross for the 28,000-square-foot space at 6398 Springfield Plaza. General contractors are bidding on the work, but the report is unclear whether the retailer has signed a lease.

Ross Stores did not respond to the Business Journal’s request for comment.

Buy Buy Baby closed the location in late 2024 after an unsuccessful attempt to revive some of its brick-and-mortar stores. Ross would join Asian-inspired department store Teso Life as a major new tenant at Springfield Plaza, anchored by Whole Foods Market, Giant, Trader Joe’s, and the Container Store.

Ross already operates nearby stores in Burke, Kingstowne, Lincolnia, Fairfax, Bailey's Crossroads and Seven Corners.
