• Driver to be sentenced for manslaughter in 2025 Herndon shooting death (ffxnow.com) — A McLean man who pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter in a 2025 shooting on Elden Street in Herndon is scheduled for sentencing Friday in Fairfax County Circuit Court. Prosecutors dropped several weapons charges under a plea deal, and the judge will decide whether he faces up to a decade in prison or a shorter jail term and fine.
   

• Herndon Man Charged With Reckless Driving Over Fatal Pedestrian Crash In Sterling (patch.com) — A Herndon man faces a reckless driving charge after authorities say he was traveling at more than double the speed limit on Route 7 when his car struck and killed a Sterling pedestrian in August. Court documents describe speeds over 120 mph, juvenile passengers urging him to slow down, and an arraignment set for December in Loudoun County.
