Centreville Man Arrested After Violent Manassas Carjacking

MANASSAS, VA – Noah Hillaire Hamilton, 26, of Centreville, has been arrested in connection with a carjacking in which a victim was dragged.

The Prince William County Police Department says that it was alerted at 6:44 a.m. on April 25 to a vehicle theft at the 8100 block of Community Drive in Manassas. They were told by a 24-year-old man that he had confronted a man trying to break into his vehicle and that during the confrontation, the thief drove away in the vehicle, dragging the victim and causing minor injuries.

Police say they found the vehicle and the accused, Hamilton, later that morning, and that Hamilton assaulted an officer as he tried to avoid arrest. The officer did not report any injuries.

Hamilton is charged with malicious wounding, assault on a police officer, fleeing from a police officer, possession of an illegal drug and grand larceny.
