Lane Split Now In Place On Dulles Toll Road At Route 123 In McLean
Eastbound Dulles Toll Road traffic has shifted at Route 123 in McLean for an 18-month bridge rehabilitation project.
McLEAN, VA — Drivers using the eastbound Dulles Toll Road in McLean are now traveling through a temporary lane split at the Route 123 (Dolley Madison Boulevard) overpass as part of a bridge rehabilitation project expected to continue into early 2028.
The Virginia Department of Transportation announced the traffic shift is now in place after postponing the original late-June implementation. The temporary traffic pattern is expected to remain for approximately 18 months while crews rehabilitate the eastbound Dulles Toll Road bridge over Route 123.
The lane split is designed to allow construction crews to work safely on the bridge while minimizing traffic disruptions. According to VDOT, all eastbound Dulles Toll Road ramps to and from Route 123 will remain open throughout construction.
