Band Returns After National Performances

RDGLDGRN’s members — Marcus “Red” Parham, Andrei “Gold” Busuioceanu and Pierre “Green” Desrosiers — went on to tour at major venues across North America, Europe and the Caribbean after meeting in Reston.

The band has collaborated with Dave Grohl, who played throughout its first album, and Pharrell. RDGLDGRN has opened for the Foo Fighters, performed live with 311, Dirty Heads, the Marley Brothers and others, and appeared on radio and television, including “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” according to the release.

The band’s 2026 release, “The Gold Album,” reached 1 million Spotify streams within seven days of its release.

“We’ve performed at Red Rocks, recorded at the historic Sound City Studios, headlined the 9:30 Club, toured all over the world, performed Jimmy Kimmel Live, and even played an NPR Tiny Desk Concert; but nothing compares to coming home for the celebration we’re about to share at Reston Town Center,” Busuioceanu said in the release.

Busuioceanu said he remembered seeing Chuck Brown perform at Reston Town Center in 2009 and Rihanna perform there in 2006.

“I’ve dreamed about playing RTC since I was a kid, and it feels surreal that it’s finally coming to life,” he said.

Summer Concert Series Continues

Robert Goudie, executive director of the Reston Town Center Association, said the series is intended to bring free music to Reston.

“To be able to deliver that with a hometown band — and this their first time back home since they made it big — of course we are over the moon,” Goudie said in the release. “It’s going to be an epic night.”

Alexandra Young, BXP’s vice president of regional marketing, said performing in one’s hometown has special meaning.

“The Reston Concerts on the Town summer series truly differentiates Reston Town Center, and we are so thrilled to be a part of this very exciting homecoming,” Young said in the release.

The concert series is supported by artist accommodations sponsor Hyatt Regency Reston and artist hospitality sponsor Makers Union. Other concerts still scheduled in the series include Discoteks on July 11, Helle’s Belles on July 25, The Ocean Blue on Aug. 15 and Almost Queen on Aug. 22.

Concerts are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Saturdays through Aug. 22, except July 4.
