• FDA approves Parkinson's drug based on University of Virgini... (fauquiernow.com) — University of Virginia researchers have helped bring a new Parkinson’s drug, Juvmo, to market, offering symptom relief in a once-daily pill that targets D1 dopamine receptors. UVA Health says this approach may cause fewer side effects than traditional levodopa and can be used alongside it, potentially improving quality of life for patients whose symptoms are no longer well controlled by existing medications.
   

• Where Do the College Swimming League Teams Stand After Four Matches? (swimswam.com) — The University of Virginia swim team has already clinched the first berth in the new College Swimming League championship match on November 6, leading the standings with an undefeated record. With Michigan and Ohio State eliminated, upcoming matches will decide which rivals join UVA directly in the final and which must battle through a wild card round, shaping who the Cavaliers could face for the title.
