• How artists want to use a melted Robert E. Lee statue to heal a wounded city (seattletimes.com) — Charlottesville organizers, including a University of Virginia religious studies professor, are close to choosing a new public artwork made from the melted Robert E. Lee statue, with a winner expected June 10. The three finalist designs would place bronze and stone installations across city parks, aiming to transform spaces once dominated by Confederate imagery into sites of memory, justice, and community healing near UVA and Monticello.
