• Popular Rock Band Cancels Concert After Worker Crushed by Tour Bus (wideopencountry.com) — A venue worker was killed last week when a tour bus collapsed on him in the Wolf Trap parking lot, prompting rock band Squeeze to cancel their Vienna concert. Wolf Trap and the band say the decision was made out of respect for the victim's family, and tickets will be refunded while they explore rescheduling. The band has since resumed touring at other venues.
   

• Car Tax Payments Due Oct. 5 – What You Need to Know (fairfaxcounty.gov) — If you live in Vienna and own a car, your Fairfax County personal property tax bill— including Vienna's local registration fee — is due Thursday, Oct. 5, with several online, mail, drop-box, and in-person payment options. • NGA Publishes Two New Resources on Digital Printing, Wired Glass (glass.org) — Based in Vienna the National Glass Association has released two new technical papers for the glass industry, one on digital printing and another on wired glass in fire-rated and safety applications. These resources aim to guide architects, fabricators, and code professionals on best practices, terminology, and where wired glass can safely and legally be used.
