Construction on more Hwy 99 upgrades in Edmonds set to begin in 2029 (heraldnet.com) — Highway 99 through Edmonds is slated for major safety and streetscape upgrades starting in 2029, with new sidewalks, bike lanes, lighting, crosswalks and stormwater improvements between 244th and 210th streets. City engineers outlined a multi-segment, $173 million plan that will unfold over years, contingent on state and federal funding, aiming to make the corridor safer for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians.

The committee helps shape decisions on profit-sharing, staffing, training, and store operations, and elected members receive paid time for quarterly meetings that influence how Edmonds' co-op runs day to day.

Sponsored: Edmonds School District's Family Resource Advocate program supports over 3,400 students annually (myedmondsnews.com) — Families in the Edmonds School District are getting wide-ranging help from Family Resource Advocates, who now support more than 3,400 students a year with food, housing, health care and counseling connections. With Verdant Health Commission funding, 15 advocates across 34 schools build relationships, reduce behavior issues and help stabilize vulnerable households so students can focus on learning.
   

5. Support 7 honors 45 years of volunteer service, and founder's widow, with commemorative bricks (lynnwoodtimes.com) — Support 7's recent brick dedication in Lynnwood's Heritage Park honored decades of quiet crisis-response work and highlighted the Edmonds Fire Department roots of founder Chaplain Ken Gaydos. His widow Lois was recognized alongside longtime volunteers whose names now line the memorial, celebrating a ministry that still assists South County fire and police agencies when local families face their hardest moments.
