Baird, an Edmonds resident since 2011, will explain how the Edmonds Serves "Community of Service" model is spreading nationwide and how locals can stay involved. The Lions Club also welcomes new members at its regular meetings.

Council hires law firm to address ongoing legal disputes over wastewater treatment plant (myedmondsnews.com) — Edmonds officials have hired Seattle law firm Ahlers Cressman & Sleight to help resolve costly disputes over the city's troubled wastewater treatment plant carbon recovery project, which has forced sludge hauling to Oregon. Councilmembers also reviewed a long-term operating deal for Yost Pool and discussed moving Edmonds Community Court sessions to Lynnwood's new Neighborhood Center under an interlocal agreement.
