Montgomery Parks and Rec. to host community gaming tournament (wsfa.com) — Montgomery Parks and Recreation is inviting gamers 13 and older to a cash-prize tournament on Friday, Sept. 25, at the Chisholm Community Center on East Vandiver Boulevard. Players can compete in Fortnite or Super Smash Bros. for GameStop gift cards, with a $10 entry fee and registration available via QR code or the city's website through Sept. 24.

Montgomery Whitewater releases updated statement on season closure (waka.com) — Montgomery Whitewater has shut down all public activities for the season, even previously announced programs, while it undertakes maintenance and rethinks its business model, though private events will continue. Montgomery County commissioners are split over continuing $500,000 in annual funding and a $7.5 million credit line without recent audited financials, with an audit expected later this year that could shape the park's future.
   

3.
